Why this app was developed:
The WA Police publish a weekly list on their website of all cameras which are out on patrol and their locations, this is in PDF format. I decided to make this details more visually appealing as it was a nightmare trawling through the list.
I did not develop a GPS trigger as the location of each camera is vague and not 100% accurate. The police only publish the STREET & SUBURB allowing me only to use Google maps on a rough guesstimate. Its not bad but it is only as a 'Heads Up' and is by no means to be used as a pinpoint area.
I have not added a social aspect to add reported cameras as I only want to represent the data that the police publish on their website. This does appear to be pretty accurate.
